Who was the favorite receiver at the San Francisco 49ers Steve Young? -

Steve Young was one of the best quarterbacks in the National Football League has ever seen. He played in the USFL with the Los Angeles Express to begin his pro career, and after that league folded joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the NFL. After just two seasons in Tampa, Young was traded to the San Francisco 49ers and the rest as they say is history. It was a backup quarterback and a spot starter for the first bit of his career to the bay, but after Joe Montana left to finish his career in Kansas City, the 49ers were his entire team.

For most of the young career that he could not only beat a team with his arm, but his legs too. His mobility and speed helped him to avoid the sack, extending a game, and get the ball to the open man. It 'also helped him to lay the ball down and run with it quite effective too. Young finished his career with 232 career touchdown passes, not a bad number especially when you consider how much time lost in the USFL and as a backup, but that was his favorite receiver during his career?

Without a doubt, and expectedly, the preferred receiver Steve Young was the great Jerry Rice. Rice caught more touchdown passes from Steve Young career than any other player. During their time together they teamed up for an amazing 85 touchdowns. No quarterback had a better receiver and after playing with Young and Joe Montana, quarterbacks never got any better than Rice receiver.
