At some point during the course of using the computer, you will find yourself in the unenviable position of having to reinstall Windows. There are many reasons for this. Perhaps important system files got corrupted or disk errors or virus caused the system to become unstable.
All this is the result of wear and tear on your PC. When that time comes, you will know not only how to reinstall Windows, but how to reinstall Windows without losing data. Here we are referring to a new Windows installation and not simply an attempt to repair some files.
1. Recovery CD vendor
The first step in knowing how to reinstall Windows is to identify the supplier of the CD reset - otherwise known appropriately enough as a rescue or boot disk. Windows comes with its own recovery CDs as well. If this is the only one that has available and then locate the instructions of the underlying operating system.

After clicking you get to the welcome screen. Press Enter, then press ESCAPE to initiate a recovery. From the menu options to select C as the current partition and then l to delete the Windows folder. Enter temperature as the user name when prompted. Reboot and you will be logged in as a temp.
Next will restore your personal files. Windows 00 users must log in as temperature, then administrator, and then back to temperature again. Then navigate to C: Documents and Settings and you will see a folder and an administrator with administrator :. Computername
The documents, type cd DOS and settings, and then press Enter. Administrator type xcopy *. * Administrator.computername / s / h / r / c, replacing computername folder that has been added to previously Director. Personal files will be restored.
4. Both Windows XP and 00
